Privacy Policy for TMI

Tournament Management Interface

Last updated October 1, 2026

TMI is local-first: everything you create stays on your device unless you choose to publish a tournament with Go Online. This policy explains exactly what that means.

On Your Device

  • No account or sign-in is required or offered.
  • Everything you create -- groups, tournaments, participants, scores, and app settings -- is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). TMI does not back up or sync this data anywhere.
  • TMI includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
  • Deleting the app deletes all of its on-device data. Tournaments you've published online are covered below.

Go Online (Optional)

Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to publish a tournament. When you publish one, a copy of that single tournament is uploaded to our servers so others can follow it live.
  • What is uploaded: the tournament's name, sport, format, scoring settings, and status; its participants' names exactly as you entered them, plus seeds and avatar choices; and its matches -- pairings, scores, winners, and match dates.
  • What is not uploaded: your other tournaments, your groups and rosters, and match notes.
  • Who can see it: anyone with the tournament's 6-digit code, QR code, or link, in the TMI app or on the web at tryeasyway.app/tmi/watch. No sign-in is needed to view, so only publish names you're comfortable sharing and have permission to share.
  • Updates: while a tournament is published, the online copy is updated as you enter scores or make changes.
  • How long it's kept: a published tournament stays online for 30 days after your last update. After that it expires, can no longer be viewed, and is deleted from our servers. You can also unpublish it at any time in the app, which deletes the online copy immediately. Your tournament on your device is never affected either way.

Payments

  • Publishing a tournament costs $1.99, paid once per tournament through Apple's In-App Purchase. We never receive your payment details, name, or Apple ID.
  • We store the App Store transaction ID and the published tournament it paid for, to verify the purchase, make sure each payment is used only once, and help with support requests.
  • We do not offer refunds for the publishing fee once a tournament has been published, including if you unpublish it early or it expires. Purchases are processed by Apple, so any refund request is handled by Apple under Apple's own policies.

Watching Tournaments

  • When you watch a tournament, the TMI app or your web browser remembers the codes and names of tournaments you've watched, on your device only, so you can find them again. You can remove them from your watched list at any time.

Service Providers

  • Google Firebase stores published tournaments and purchase records.
  • Vercel hosts our website and the service TMI connects to when publishing or watching. Like most hosting providers, it may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for a limited time for security and reliability.
  • Apple processes all payments.
  • We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your Choices

  • You can use TMI fully without ever publishing anything.
  • You can unpublish any tournament you've published, at any time, from the app.
  • To ask us to delete a published tournament, contact us with its code through our contact form (see Contact below).

Future Changes

If a future version of TMI changes what data it uploads or how long it's kept, this policy will be updated before that change ships. Cloud backup or sync, if ever added, will remain opt-in.

Questions about this policy, or requests to delete a published tournament, can be sent through our contact form.
